Schrodinger's Cat...

Is it possible that those who create the CCIE labs attend the bootcamps,
listen to the audio CDs and read the Practical Studies and lab guides to
make sure that there is something on the lab that is not covered by these
courses/docuements?

I ask, because the breadth and scope of testable material is nearly
limitless, and I would suspect that everyone who has taken the lab has come
across something they have never seen or heard of before.

There was an old theory that Microsoft and Cisco were offended if anyone got
a perfect score on their exams, so they through in one completely idiotic
question to ensure this didn't happen, ('when bit three of the third octet
in a FDDI frame header is set to 0, it means what?').

Then again, since most certifications do not score their exams anymore (IOW,
they don't tell you how you did, just whether you passed or failed) this may
not be the case any more.
