You'll have problems later if you configure dlsw on the router attached to
that port,

Everything you said is true but I still don't understand why the sport has
to manually be changed to access mode.

What problem is there with just leaving the port like this:

switchport access vlan #
switchport mode dynamic desirable

When the port is configured this way, everything works fine. So, in the
lab, do you think it's neccessary to take the time to change it from this ?
