Andrew,
One use of the isis network point-to-point command would be to permit an
adjacency between mismatched frame-relay interface types. Without this
command you cannot form a direct adjacency between a frame-relay
point-to-point subinterface and a frame-relay physical or multipoint
subinterface. With this command on the multipoint side, you can form such
an adjacency.
