This command would be primarily (and maybe only) used when trying to
form ISIS adjacencies over a FR connection with two different interface
types. Normally a p2p interface will not form an ISIS adjacency with a
multipoint interface. If you configure this on the multipoint interface
(a FR physical interface for example) you will then be able to form the
adjacency with the p2p. One previous way of doing this was to create a
GRE tunnel, and run isis over it.
