Did you notice the date on the RFC April 1st. They have one every year. My favorite is the Avian Carrier Protocol RFC 1149 and Avian QOS RFC 2549.

It's real enough that Cisco Press, and associated imprints such as
Macmillan Technical Publishing, would not allow the use of "foo" in
its books, at least a few years ago. I was told, by my editor, that
someone in Cisco marketed decided it was a derivative of something
obscene and was, therefore, banned.
