With all due respect, I have to disagree with you about "There are no
well-written texts on these subjects".

For multicast, there's the excellent and very comprehensive book, Developing
IP Multicast Networks by Beau Williamson, isbn 157870077-9 and, of course,
the mcast chapters in Routing TCP/IP vol II by Doyle.

There are also some excellent multicast training material on Cisco's web
site. I don't know off hand the link but do a search and you should be able
to find them.

For, QoS, there's the fantastic book, DQoS, by Wendell Odom. It's an
excellent read and written much better than most technology books.

Both books are easy to find at Cisco Press or Barnes and Noble or Amazon or
probably hundreds of other sources.
