Hi guys,
I read many papers and books and I can't get a solid information in some
points... I always have doubt about this
Facts...
CBWFQ by default is configured to take (reserve) 75% of bandwidth asignation
in the interface (this I can change with the command max-reserve-bandwidth),
also I know that the traffic that doesn't match any criteria goes to the
default-class.
Here are the questions...
1- What happens when I put the command bandwidth percent, this percent is
based on the total bw 100% or only the 75% that reserve by default?
2- The default-class, works as any other class or it's takes the remaining 25%
of bw ?
3- If I do not configure the default-class, all packets that don't match any
criteria, are classified and switched in a best-effort way (WFQ) with the rest
of the bandwidth available (25%) ?
4- When I put the command "bandwidth 32" in a class, I specified 32 Kbps. of
IP traffic or it's IP + L2 headers traffic ?
5- If I put the command queue-limit, I tell the class to use tail drop and
that's it ? Does it have another functionality ?
Kind regards.
Marcelo.-
