I have used "UDP multicast tester", freeware, with success in the past.

Nice utility, only doesn't allow big bandwidth utilization (1 packet per
second)

IPerf http://dast.nlanr.net/Projects/Iperf/
Should be able to send a large number of multicast packets, defined as Kbps,
but it is only command-line interface. I haven't used iperf for multicast
(yet), but it is sure nice for testing qos when you start different iperf
sessions on different ports at the same time ;-)

Kind regards,

Koen.

Subject: windows multicast server & viewer for multicast lab tests

Hi,

Can I now whether there is a free (freeware) simple multicast server &
client software for windows for testing our LABs with multicast configs?

As I am somewhat weak on multicast, I need to play around with a server
& a client on my home lab so that I can really see the "show" outputs
while the IP stream is active, etc.

Thanks for the reply.

mathew
