Hey Scott,
I'm not sure if you're saying "no" to if I'm mistaken or errdisable being
enabled by default. So let me be clear.
From the 3550 CR documentation, errdisable detect is:
<snip>
Defaults
Detection is enabled for all causes.
<snip>
So, unless the documentation is wrong, errdisable detect is enabled for all
causes. But, you're right (according to the docs) that errdisable recovery
is disabled by default. But, should it be enabled, by default, it will be
for 300 seconds.
Now, with regard to what is more annoying, the 3550 disabling ports or the
documentation being obtuse, I can't say. It's too close a call.
