Hi,

Definetely those questions posted on the Cisco site has nothing to do with
the technical knowledge required to be succesful in both exams. I'm
currently holding both CCDP and CCNP certifications plus 10+ yrs of
experience int the network field, have passed the written exam on my 1st
attempt easily and failed my 1st lab attempt back in 2001 and have studied
and prepared for the past yrs and I can assure you. Do not rely on those
sample because the reality is tremendously different. I am currently working
on both tracks ( Sec & R/S ) and definitely can say comfortably whatever
track you decide to go first your experience will help you a lot to reach
the goal.
That's my perception....

Subject: CCIE Security - advice from qualified or studying CCIE people

study, which books etc. However one of them pointed out to me that as I have
been doing firewalls since TIS, have a large ISP and Telco background and I
have just started on an IPSEC project it might be better for me to have a
quick look at the CCIE Security exam instead. The reason for getting a CCIE
is simply because my clients now want more than just my CCNP CCDP. They are
demanding CCIE. 9 years experience apparently doesn't count :)

sample questions and while when I originally tried the CCIE R+S questiosn I
got 2, maybe 2.5 right on this one I got all 5 right. Which started me
thinking about the CCIE Security exam.

chaps and find out what they think of the qualification, has it helped them
etc. and how hard it was to achieve. I have Checkpoint CCSA and CCSE for
v3,4 and NG. I'm just wondering if CCIE Security would be an easier way for
me to get my CCIE. (Yes, I know no CCIE is easy but those sample questions
really seemed like no brainers, are they truly representative of the exam?
If so I'm changing track).
