Teriffic plan ! really like it and will use for sure.
One thing I would change is the reload, I wil not wait 45min before end to
do it, sometimes it does uncover unseen routing loops. better to do it after
redistribution task is over and again afetr ISDN is done.
Cheers
Sam

Subject: My Advise,, Need yours :)
Hi
Here is my advise and the strategy that I be following in a few days,
STEP1: Scan the Test Workbook
Determine what topics are presented within the test
Measure your comfort level with the topics presented within the test
Locate the pages that possess diagrams
STEP 2: Check and Verify Your Rack of Equipment
Check Access to Lab Hardware
Verify that the hardware supplied in your rack matches the devices
supplied in your Exam diagrams
Verify the IOS version of each Exam device
Inspect the initial configuration residing on your Cisco routers and
switches
STEP 3: Configure and Prep Your Test Equipment with Your Preferred General
Housekeeping Commands
No ip domain-lookup
exec timeout 0 0
alias exec srb sh run | begin
alias exec sri sh run | include
alias exec srr sh run | begin ^ro
STEP 4: Transpose the Primary Network Diagram onto a Separate Sheet of
Paper
STEP 5: Enhance Your Network Diagram by Intensive Issue Spotting
Plan and Schedule Your Configuration Steps Up to the Golden Moment
MORNING LANDMARK #1: NOW LET'S BEGIN TO CONFIGURE!!!!!
Configure Your Core First.
Make sure you can ping all devices on the same subnet.
Configure Your Edge Data-Links
Configure Your Core/Transit Routing Protocols
Configure Your Edge/Non-Transit Routing Protocols
Do Not Configure ISDN
Do Not Go Down a Rathole Early in the Exam
Perform Redistribution Between All Routing Protocols
MORNING LANDMARK #2: GOLDEN MOMENT: PING ALL SUPPLIED IP ADDRESSES FROM
ALL ROUTERS
You are looking both backwards and forwards. You are looking back to any
topics you have skipped and you are looking ahead to configuring the
following next three topics:
ISDN
BGP
IP Multicast
MORNING LANDMARK #3: LUNCH TIME
You have finished at least two of the three above listed topics.
You are looking both backwards and forwards.
BEGINNING OF AFTERNOON LAB SESSION
As soon as the Afternoon Lab session begins, "grab the low hanging fruit."
Configure all of the topics you fell most comfortable with. Once, you have
completed configuring all topics you feel
very comfortable with, return to all of the topics you have skipped.
AND NOW MOST IMPORTANT, Before the exam ends, thoroughly check your work!
At approximately, 45 minutes before the end of the exam, perform a write
memory on all of your routers and switches, reload your routers, and check
your work.
I'm having my exam in a few days, so any recommendations or advice? Any
comments, Hints are highly appreciated,
And let me know when is your exam that we can share some materials if youd
like.
All the best,
AW.
