Hi Fernando,

I would suggest that if you felt pretty good at the end of the exam then
you should be close to being able to pass. Study the areas you were not
comfortable with, stay in touch with groupstudy, do some mock labs and
practice configuring things in a lab. Do some research on Cisco CCO as
well and lastly be sure to reschedule for no more than 3 months from the
day you took the exam.

Good luck,

Ian

Subject: I just failed my first lab.

Hi all,

I had my lab in Brussels last Tuesday 15th...and I
failed. Terrible experience for me since I was very
nervous. I read the exam from front to back to find
out that I could make it (big smile at the time). I
straggled here and there but with plenty of time at
the end just to check...How fool I was!!! After
finishing it I left believing I was ok...just to
realize in the hotel room that I had mistakenly done a
few things...but just minor things so I was still
hoping to pass...

I received the mail once I was in Spain the following
day...with the terrible word in it: FAIL :-(

I checked the results and to my surprise they reckon I
didn4t do some parts (got 0% in two of the
sections)...WHY 0%? I can sware to God that those
sectios were there...(easily to see whether the
sections were working but I cannot discluse here what
they were because of the NDA).

What are they expecting to find in the configs??? I
walk though the lab with almost 2 hours left at the
end...I4m so down know that I doubt about the whole
thing...after so much study, so many hours into it,
not only my effort but my family, colleages, etc...the
whole lot...

By the way, do not ever rely on the CCO CD provided in
the lab (at least in Brussels)...wasn4t working that
day.

I know that these are not the days I should be writing
about this since it is still too close...What can I
do? What should I change? What must I don for the
future? I think I have the knowledge but now I4m not
that sure of what I know is what Cisco wants to see in
their labs...not real life looks to me.

Please, any advise would be very much appreciated.
Contact me off-line if you wish so.

Thanks to everyone as always.

Fernando

P.S.- I would like to get in contact with the
Portuguese guy that took the lab as well on the 15th.
on June...or any of you guys that were there that
day...just to know how you did...I hope you did well.
