Thanks for your PDF. It is interesting that the entire document didn't
mentioned anything related to SCCP nor MGCP, so I will take your word
for it that I should be able to use either one.
If I need to track user access / authorization, should I use MGCP, or
SCCP?

You should be able to use either. Just depends upon how you want to
treat access to the legacy voice mail system... E.g. track access and
authorization or not.

This link should walk you through setting up SMDI (which runs over the
serial cable anyhow - OOB).

to fully support my customer's legacy voice mail system (running on SMDI
protocol)? Should I use MGCP or SCCP? Is there anything that I need to
