But basically to configure fax over IP you just do it as if it was normal
voip and the routers automatically detect it is a fax.
So first they do call setup and when the routers detect a fax tone (they
call it CED) they swap the voip codec for a fax codec and disable VAD and
echo cancellation if I remember well. Then there are some parameters that
can be adjusted like the rate etc ...with fax commands under the dial-peer.
