Let me expand on my previous post.
the dialer-group command associates with whatever you've defined as
interesting traffic with the dialer-list command. This is independent of
whatever dialer-watch configuration you have.
If you've configured dialer watch and dialer group both could potentially
trigger a call, but based on different criteria. With dialer watch, what
triggers the call is the lack of the watched route in the route table. With
dialer-group, what triggers the call is "interesting traffic".
Now, you should also be mindful, that with either feature configured, you
still need to have L3 to L2 address resolution. That's why if you
configure dialer watch after you've configured dialer-group, you'll need to
add another dialer map statement for the watched routes.
