This is were i am confused. this is what DOC CD says
 
If you want to configure a BSR, perform the tasks in the following sections. The tasks is the first section are required; the tasks in the remaining sections are optional.

   Configuring PIM Sparse-Dense Mode (Required)
   Defining a PIM Sparse Mode Domain Border Interface (Optional)
   Configuring Candidate BSRs (Optional)
   Configuring Candidate RPs (Optional)

sparse-dense mode is a must according to DOC CD for PIMv2 BSR.

Can PIM v2 (bsr) work in sparse mode ?

according to doc CD for PIM v2, sparse-dense is a must.

Can somebody clarify on this.
