I know that lots of companies are buying cisco equipment on Ebay for
really good prices. Then they add it to their Cisco Maintenance and swap
it out.

Subject: OT: OEM / 3rd Part Memory, GBICs, etc..
Sorry in advance for the off topic, but I need some feedback from the
experts if you don't mind.
We all know that Cisco charges a premium for things like DRAM, Flash,
GBICs, etc.. In 99% of my experiences most companies will use the Cisco
product to alleviate support layers, etc..
What are your experiences with this? Many companies, especially with
budget cuts, are looking at OEM and 3rd party components to help cut
costs without seeing much if any drawback from it. Many times this
stuff will show up in a Cisco logo box.
Any experiences or thoughts? In favor or opposed to it?
