Hello group,
I am looking for a way to deduct the bandwidth required for different
applications per user and so far have only found this interesting article
http://www.broadband-pbimedia.com/ct/archives/0402/bandwidth.html
<http://www.broadband-pbimedia.com/ct/archives/0402/bandwidth.html> .
Suppose you sniff a lan and get a bulk of info to analyse. The sniffer will
give you such things as average bandwidths, packet sizes, peak bandwidths,
etc ...
You also know that the users are not complaining about the performance of
their network. How do we know how to size the wan links between the
different sites of the customer ? I mean if the customer says that a new
site with X users with A, B and C applications is going to connect to the
network. Is there a way to know the bandwidth needed for the wan link ?
Thank you
