Andrew,
As a rule, my approach is to use the simplest method possible to achieve the
required results. In the lab, lots of people find themselves under
tremendous time pressure and the last thing you need is to lose time
troubleshooting complex logic only to discover that your complicated
route-map isn't the root of your problem.
As a general rule, I don't think it's a good idea to get in the habit of
always doing something in one particular way when there are multiple ways of
doing the same thing. The lab will always make you do something in the way
you're not used to, so if you're used to only way, you're in trouble.
Just my opinion, but I haven't passed the lab yet, so take it for what it's
worth.
HTH
