Yahoo! I passed in San Jose yesterday after countless months away from my
family and friends studying and practicing.
I'll have to relearn how to socialize with my non technical family and
friends again without trying to analyze in the back of my mind the 15 ways I
might get something to work over IS-IS or BGP. (I suspect that statement
makes sense to some of you out there who have been doing *nothing* but
living and breathing and studying RPs and IOS for too long.)
I have to give a huge word of praise and thanks to NetMasterClass. Bruce,
Val, Fred, Indy, Alexei, Adel, et.al - you guys are top notch! NMC's
training and practice scenarios are leaps and bounds over any thing else I
have experienced in my 10 years of networking. The NMC classes and the DOiT
workbook provided complex and challenging scenarios that really helped hone
my skills. The analysis in the Spot the Issues answer sheets are unmatched
by anything else I've seen. During the final week of my preparation I also
took NMC's CHECKiT lab. Wow. I'm finally at the point where these labs are
actually fun! The best thing about the CheckIt lab besides the exceptional
analysis and score report you get was the fact that it was a timed online
test. I had to manage my time in the same way I would with the real lab.
That made me pay close attention to point values and critical issues to
address before the clock went off and my sessions ended. I wasn't nearly
that disciplined when I was managing my own clock.
Thanks also to GroupStudy. I think it is difficult to keep your eyes on the
target without a community to help support you. GS is such a community.
There are quite a few "great stewards" of this site that help keep it
valuable. Thank you! Thank you!
Continued Good Luck To All!
. . . and now, for the first time ever, I get to sign my name. . .
