Hi JB,

I just wanted to let you know that I'm not the type of person that only do networking stuff and that's my only life. I never work at home (except when I want to get a certification). I'm not that type. I'm a musicien, play guitar (I have 2 rock band). And during the last past month I continue to work for my company (only got 3 weeks off for training and a couple of more days). After I pass the written exam I decided to take each minutes I can to study for the lab (it was not that much, because of my work, practice with my bands...) but I tried to deal with the rest of the available time. But I understand guys that has a familly (kids...) it should be very hard to get time to concentrate... I admire them.

I think that before I started that hold process I was at a certain level of knowledge (experiences...) I've worked for a small company for 5 years. I had to do almost everything (convert X25 to Frame-relay...) I was 22 years old at that time. I learned a lot there.

So again, you don't just need to know the command but you need to understand it and do links (logic) between differents config. At the end everything will all make sense. So if you see something you ever seen before you will be able to go through because you will compare with something else you know and understand.

Regards,

Pascal

I don't mean any disrespect,

However, I firmly believe that Pascal is single, lives at home and his
car
loan is payoff.

That's the only way I can imagine 3 months should be enough.

Maybe I'm incorrect!

Congradulations Pascal,
3 months study with just doing the doit labs is incredible. I have
studied
almost 2 years, I think that is incredible to learn all that information
in
a few months, is remarkable, Congradulations again, I envy you.
Sincerely,
Matijevic

Hi Everybody,

I did it!!! Yesterday was my first and last attempt! :-) It's been 3
intenses month. I started the hold process in January 2004. I started
reading books (R&S Bruce Caslow, Doyle...) I pass the written exam at
the
end of February. After that I started my preparation for the lab. I did
the
Netmasterclass (NMC-1) in March. It really give me a push. Those guys
really care about you passing the test (thanks to Val, Bruce, Bob and
Indy).
Afterthat I did some lab at home (with the DoIT workbook). I also tried
the
new mock lab from Netmasterclass (CheckIT) it's a similation test, it's
good!

For my final preparation, I decided to do the InternetworkExpert Mock
class
at home (I did it 1 week ago). They really have good materials...
Thanks to
Brian McGahan and Brian Dennis (good job).

The advise I can tell you is to read the complete exam (twice),
afterthat
carefully read each requirements. Look at all the possibilities and
find
the one that will fit with the rest of the exam (look the overall). A
phrase that I won't forget from Bruce Caslow "Don`t fall in love with
the
first option" Do a small drawing for each section to visualize the
topology.

Good luck everybody!
