Redistribution example

I'm reading Solie's CCIE PS V1, and it seems that I'm missing something,
on example 12-12 (P772) the route table of mark router contains 2 entries, 172.16.10.0/29 and 172.16.2.4/30, continue working on the same layout with adding a RIP router and couple of loopback interfaces to illustrate filtering/redistribution- example 12-19 (P787)- I've noticed that 172.16.10.0/30 entry became 172.16.2.4/24, this is first? second after redistributing OSPF into RIP the two entries appeared in the RIP router "peter" (ex. 12-19 p787) despite of their masks /29 and /30?
 
 any comment?
