I have a very simple CBAC question for the group.

Does the global command "ip inspect alert-off" turn off alert messages? or
Does "no ip inspect alert-off" turn off alert messages?

I looked up
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/fsecur_r/ftrafwlr/srfcbac.htm#1020199

It says:

To disable Context-based Access Control (CBAC) alert messages, which are
displayed on the console, use the ip inspect alert off command in global
configuration mode. To enable CBAC alert messages, use the no form of this
command.

ip inspect alert-off
no ip inspect alert-off

BUT, in the example section, it says,

Examples

The following example turns on CBAC alert messages:

ip inspect alert-off

Would someone shed some light? Thanks much

Best regards,
Henry
