One reason people are often asked to post complete configurations (or at
least copy and paste relevant sections) is they make mistakes or make
incorrect assumptions about the requirement or how the protocol works.
It has been my observation after over 5 years of reading GroupStudy
posts, that the more detail you provide and the humbler attitude you
exude, the more responses you will get. On occasion a problem with
enough information given has interested me enough that I will recreate
it in my own lab and spend an hour or more researching the problem and
post the results. And other may do the same. This attitude of "I can't
believe you need more information - if you can't figure it out with the
tidbits I gave you then you aren't smart enough to be discussing this"
is not helping you get more responses.
