Did you try the two things I recommended

Either change your statement to
redistributed connected level-1 route-map connected2isis
or use passive-interface loopback6
These will work for you

I tried with the metric option, but didn't work either. The reason I
didn't
think about metric because I am able to redisribute the ethernet
interfaces
w/o any problems, it is just the loopback that is giving me a grief.
