I've seen plenty of Alcatel (Xylan) to Cisco
connections... no problems from what I've seen. Of
course the native/default 802.1q VLAN # has to be same
on both sides.

Xylan (now Alcatel) had very cool VLAN features. Could
dynamically put IPX traffic in one VLAN, IP in
another, and so forth. Bay/Nortel does this to.
