It worked for me. 1.1.1.1 doesn't exist in my config.

R5(config)#ip host R1 1.1.1.1
R5(config)#busy-message R1 #
Enter TEXT message. End with the character '#'.
test
#
R5(config)#exit
R5#R1
Translating "R1"

test

R5#
%SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console by console
R5#

Hi,

This busy-message thing is driving me mad. I can't get the busy message
to
show up when I telnet to the remote router R5.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.
Paul
