The magic wand would help! :)

You'll need an FXO port in order to connect out to a PSTN line. If all you
want to do though is talk to your buddy via an IP Phone, you simply both
need to register your phones to a router running the ITS and then have some
peer/method to reach each other!

With IP phone to IP phone over a network, network connectivity is all you
need.

Hi Scott,

Bummer... I was just hoping to use my magic wand :)

Anyway, I know the basics about dial-peer and dial-plan stuff, however, how
can I translated that into reality? As per the other poster, it seems like I
need an PSTN line that goes straight into my 2620. What hardware is
required for that? I currently have a NM-2V and VIC-2FXS, but that seems to
do only good for analog phone.

Is there any other alternative? I want to try not to rely on the PSTN line,
but fully utilized my ADSL connection. Is that possible?

Thanks,
L.

There is a LOT to think about before just magically doing that.
