The Etherswitch module is a L2 switch only - L3 functions are done on the main
router CPU.
You might need to upgrade the code on that router to get 'no switchport' to
work. I have it documented in 12.3(4)T - Might have come in with 12.2(15)ZJ....

Subject: Etherswitch Network Module
is anyone using these in their 2600/3600 cisco routers. I have several with
later than the 12.2.8T sw that is specified, but I cannot get the routed ports
to work. On a fast ethernet interface, I type no switchport and get something
like "cannot configure L3 links...". Does anyone know how to enable a routed
port on the switchport module?
Thanks
