VPN3003 and Cisco Client (Group Policies?)

I had looked at Cisco remote access solutions with the 7120 running PPTP
and the 3003 about 4 years ago. Then the cisco client didn't receive
group policies, etc and couldn't do anything with AD. This created
problems in that remote laptops didn't get software updates being pushed
with group policies. Has any of this changed? For example 2003 Server
allows the client to inherit any group policies, software changes, and
with Network Quarantine Server the client can't connect unless the
connection manager policy matches (ie you must have ICF turned on, your
must have Norton AV virus def 1/22/2004 rev. 7). Is there a way to do
policies with the 3003 concentrator?
What is Cisco pushing now for remote access via VPN?

PS There is no IPSec involved.
