Hello, sorry for OT and please reply to me directly instead of the entire
list, also please flame offline. First off, I am very new at most of this
technology and any help would be great. Our topology is as follows:
3174---(sdlc?)----3745----(chan)----mainframe
We would like to retire the 3745 and need some type of "bridge" to the
mainframe. If I am missing some detail that is needed for a solution please
let me know. Again, this is very new to me so I will answer it to the best
of my ability. I have been reading some Cisco doc and it seems like STUN
may be a viable solution? We would like to connect via token ring as well,
as opposed to the CIP for $$$ reasons. Ideally, if possible it would be:
3174-(sdlc?)-router---(tokenring)-----mainframe
Is this possible?
Thank you in advance.
