which routing protocols can use the first method? I
like the first method better because it gives you more
control over the routes that get the distance. Which
methods can use 2nd Method?

2nd method: N
eigrp:y/n
1st method: This method will work but only sets the
distance for internal (D) routes. If you need to have
(D EX) routes marked with a different distance, try to
change the AD in the other routing protocol, if
supported.
2nd method: Y
