To eliminate the first problem, define a login authentication using no
authentication, i.e, aaa authentication login TS none. Then apply that
configuration as the login authentication for your asynch lines.

Hello All,
I am currently setting up a 2511 for console access to my lab and I have
a question re. accessing and breaking out of console sessions. I have
ssh access configured for the TS and I am using putty to access the TS
with local aaa username/password configured
The issues are:
I am asked to supply the username/password when accessing the console
lines each time (after I access the TS of course) and I am not too sure
why. The incoming banner is displayed once I supply this
username/password....how do I get the TS not to ask for this
username/password each time I access one of the lines?
Also, I have an autocommand configured for one of the local username
passwords, but this doesn't seem to work?? Any ideas why, as from the
config it should??
Lastly when I am in a console session I want to break back out without
using ctrl-shift-6-x....how can I either suspend the session or break
out with another command. I have tried various configs under the line 1
16 configs (escape-character and disconnect-character but nothing seems
to work.
I am using the following IOS;c2500-is56i-l.121-3.T.bin and the relevant
sections of the config is below.
