2924Xl has a concept of management VLAN. Only one of L3 interfaces
described by vlan N can be in active state and the rest are in shutdown.
Unlike newer switches and/or IOS routers it is not possible to just do "no
shut" on an interface for it to become active. Instead what you need to do
is to create new vlan interface you want to be your management interface (by
default it is vlan 1) and use "management" command on this new interface.
This will "no shut" your new interface and "shut" vlan 1.

Dear All,

I am currently having problems bringing a vlan interface out of shutdown on
the above device.

Is there something ovbious I am missing here?

Interface Vlan3 is shutdown and determined to remain so. Please advice.

EG.
