I should have said that IS-IS does not run over logical
hub-and-spoke for level-2. You can configure the hub to be L1 adjacent with
the spokes, and originate a default to them. The spokes will not have
specific reachability information about each other, but they can default to
the hub. Any L1 information that the hub is learning from a different
interface can also be advertised on to the spokes.
Design wise it's always better to stay away from logical
hub-and-spoke, but with the lab anything is fair game. You'd also have to
wonder whether or not the above solution would be valid for the lab due to
the default routing.
