I am trying to configure a router to bridge between a
serial interface and an ehternet interface. The
Ethernet interface is connected to a device. This
device bridges the traffic to another interface on the
same router, which has an ip address on the same
subnet as the remote Serial device.
When the router pings the remote serial interface the
encapsulation fails and the arp reply is invalid.
Does anyone know of a way to configure this? I have
tried static arp entries for the remote serial ip but
have not been successful. Any comments?
Thanks
Rich
