Hi Scott,

Actually, there is an asterisk after the number 10397 saying "Does not
include CCIE's who have inactive status."
Also when someone gets multiple CCIE, I thought it would count as one
only but obviously it's not the case and the maximum is still 10106
(9711 + 286 + 103 + 6).
But Chuck must have the right answer, I forgot the previous CCIE
specializations (SNA, Dial, ...). I just didn't think they were that
many.

Thanks and sorry for this slightly off-topic,

Fabrice (freak himself :-))

Well, there's also the almost 800 decertified CCIE's... But the
difference probably then be in the number of people who have more than
one CCIE. The freaks. (grin)

Does someone understand the math on this page (CCIE population)? Total
CCIE population: 10397 Total of Routing and Switching CCIEs: 9711
Total of Security CCIEs: 286
Total of Service Provider CCIEs: 103
Total of Voice CCIEs: 6

Even if there were no multiple CCIE, (9711 + 286 + 103 + 6 = 10106) is
still inferior to 10397! Big Total should be equal or inferior to 10106,
isn't it? May be I just don't know how to count in decimal anymore, or
may be some CCIEs weighs more than others :-)

Fabrice

Yup, as as I've been told, three of those are the proctors, and the
other three were people who took the beta. :) Who knows...

I know this has been batted around before, any
momentum for setting up a dedicated Voice CCIE mailing
list?

Just passed the written and am putting some gear
together..... Would like to jump in while I am still
in the hopeful, optimistic, stage, before - Lab
reality - sets in.
