Jason,
The physical topology we used for the workbook and for our R&S classes
is built around what Cisco has publicly statement is in the real CCIE
lab. If you are in the latter part of your CCIE preparation, you want to
practice on a similar topology as to what you will see in the real CCIE
lab.
As far as a simpler topology (less interfaces, 2500 series routers, etc)
goes, we are current working on a CCIE foundations workbook that will
use a simpler topology.

Has anyone looked at the hardware requirements for Internetworkexpert's
labs? Do most people have a 5 port frame switch and 2 routers with
2-eth/1-ser/1-bri(which at minimum would have to be 4500 or 2611)?
Don't
get me wrong, I am sure this wkbk will be one if the best, if not the
best.
Just wondering if I am alone here in not having the req.

Hey, thought you might be interested that NetMasterClass has a free
sample
lab and answer key on their web site. This is an excellent lab and
shows
how the answer key is structured for their workbook. This workbook is
awesome.
