1) Yes
2) Yes
3) "show ip interface ..." - RIP
"show run interface ..." - EIGRP, slit horizon is enabled on all&any
interfaces
unless you see in the configuration is was
disabled

Best regards,
Alexei

P.S. There are some more minor details, especially on RIP defaults and
extra complexity if IGRP is added, but I think you got the big picture.

Subject: 3 Questions on Split Horizon

Hello everyone,

I have three questions on split horizon as it relates to EIGRP over Frame
Relay:

1) Is it true that on a physical Frame Relay interface (not sub-interface),
the split horizon is DISABLED for RIP but ENABLED for EIGRP? I thought it
was disabled for both, yet according to the doc CD, the default for EIGRP is
enabled.

2) Is it true that the command "ip split-horizon [enable | disable]" applies
to RIP and "ip split-horizon eigrp xx [enable | disable] applies to EIGRP
and they are mutually exclusive (meaning that configuring one has absolutely
no effect on the other)?

3) How can one check whether or not split horizon is enabled or disabled on
a particular interface for a particular distance-vector routing protocol
through a "show" command?

Thanks in advance!
Ken
