Assigning a metro tag (802.1q tunneling or Q-in-Q) allows providers to support customers
with overlapping vlan tags. L2 protocol tunneling allows BPDUs etc to also be tunneled
making the provider entirely transparent to the customer.

Subject: L2 Protocol tunneling vs. 802.1q tunneling
Hey Group,
I'm trying to understand what the major differences are between the two and
when you would use one over the other. I read the section on the doc cd,
but I don't fully understand it.
Thanks,
Danny
