This is the CCIE lab, not the real world. If you mix the two, you will get
bit. They are testing you knowledge of the technologies, not network
design. More than half of what you are required to do in the lab, you would
never even consider doing in the real world.

I disagree; route-maps/ other methods must always be used to ensure the
"exactness" of the network. CCIE means that you are aware of the issues
that can arise and should always safeguard against them.

I'll suggest to keep it simple. Use route-map only if it is required.
Follow the instructions in the lab. If asked to redistribute eigrp to
ospf just do simple redistribution.
