hotswapable or not?

Hi group,
 
I was wondering if any of you know if a 1000BaseCX Gigastack interface
is hot swappable or not?
 
Some of the troubleshooting steps on the Cisco website talks about
removing & re-inserting the interface for troubleshooting, do I do this
while the switch is on, or off?
