I'm reluctant to join this one... especially since some people didn't catch
the tongue-in-cheek nature of that original post.
Personally, I find it ignorant to pigeonhole one's self into believing experts
are limited to a single discipline. Furthermore, I think it's simply
insecurity driving those to flame others for not being "experts" in their own
specific area. (What can I gain from winning that argument, anyway? dunno)
I'm glad IP Telephony came up, because many were bruised and scarred from the
early rollouts. Not too many felt like experts when some of those things were
happening. We all found benefit weathering the storm, however.
I guess my point is... no matter what you think you are, there's always
something to learn. A pissing contest on a study list isn't helping anybody.
