Make sure all is in order with your TFTP server
i.e. - your workstation can ping the loopback on the 3550
Then erase the flash & upload your new image. You DO NOT have to create a
folder.

Subject: Upgrading 3550 image to EMI
Hi,
I am trying to upgrade a 3550 and I keep coming up against this
response when entering any of the possible commands. For example:
archive download-sw /overwrite /reload
tftp://10.10.10.1/c3550-i5q3l2-tar.121-13.EA1a.tar
The response is:
Unable to create temp dir "flash:update"
but the directory already exists.
Directory of flash:/
----snip----
19 drwx 0 Mar 01 1993 01:19:36 update
etc.
I have checked CCO for possible command options and I am fairly sure
it's not a syntax issue.

IP connectivity is in place. It's obviously something to do with the
way the switch is already set up.
Any ideas?
TIA
Ben
