Man thx all for the fast response.

I have a chance of borrowing two SMIs from work, would this be ok for all
the feature to praticse on?

What would I not have using SMIs?

Would I have such things as mac-address filtering etc etc.....

Guys,

Does anyone know what flavor of switch is in the LAB. The blueprint just
says
:-

Catalyst 3550 series switches

EMIs are L3 switches, SMIs L2 switches.

Many thx
