It looks like you are probably trying to attach the yellow Gigistack cables
to both ports on each Gigistack GBIC, which will result in half duplex. Only
use one port on each Gigistack GBIC and it should default to Full Duplex.
When you use both ports on the Gigistack, you are forcing it to half duplex.
Its just the nature of the Gigistack.

Why do you have a gigastack GBIC install in there? Try a SX GBIC. I think
the only GBIC that does half duplex is those gigastack gbics and they're
meant for clustering switches.

Subject: duplexing problem
Hi Group,
I am having problems getting a link between a C3524-XL & a C3550-24 to
operate at full duplex, I've heard mention that I might have to do
something with flow control & load-interval. Any help would be
appreciated.
P.S. I was able to set the duplexing on int g0/2 on the C3524-XL, but
I'm not sure how to change the duplexing on the 3550 G0/1 even thow it
shows it is capable of doing so
