To bridge two routed port in a cisco ROUTER, I always use the command and it
works :

bridge 1 protocol ieee (what does the ieee mean ?)
int e1
  bridge-group 1
int e2
  bridge-group 1

When is it necessary to use the fallback bridging in a router (not in
cat3550), i.e. bridgee 1 protocol vlan-bridge ? Are there any difference it
fallback bridging is used in a Cat35 and a router ? Thanks.
