I prefer the RocketPort serial PCI cards. I have two of them in my PC. It
gives you 16 com ports in your PC via an octa-cable with db-9 on the end, or
you can recable them like I did and put rj-45 ends on them and plug them
straight into console ports or use regular rj-45 extensions and straight
ethernet cables to get what ever length you want. I have a 2511 sitting here
I paid $800 for a long time ago, and after I got the rocketport cards never
used it since. I have a spare rocketport card cabled to rj-45 ends if
somebody wants it.
