Hi Group

Enabling Auto-RP on a FR network.
Using loopback as RP address for reliability.
When configuring multicast mode on loopback, what is the best choice ip pim
sparse-mode or ip pim sparse-dense-mode? - Doyle uses ip pim sparse-mode
even though he uses ip pim sparse-dense-mode on the other multicast
interfaces
I am using ip pim sparse-mode on the FR serial interface (multiple DLCIs on
a single interface) so that I can use ip pim nbma-mode - router complains if
ip pim sparse-dense-mode is used.

What value of scope would be good for both the send-rp-announce and the
send-rp-discovery?
Obviously in a real situation this would depend on the distance the MA is
from the RP(s) and the leaf routers are from the MA(s), but in the lab? -
Doyle use 5, sound good?

How does one go about limiting the MA to accepting a single router as the
RP, even though there might be other RPs advertising?
Is ip pim rp-announce-filter rp-list the way to go?

Many thanks
Larry
