Hi,
The question seems want to standby the MAC address rather than IP address;
I don't think this can be achieved. What the "mac-address" is just for
manully assign a MAC address for the virtual router other then pre-assigned
0000.000c.07acXX.

You are missing a command for your standby group? Think IP!!
The virtual MAC is so the arp/mac or cam tables are steady.
